Hi there, welcome to this little venture I call Essexypics!
The idea for Essexypics was born when I was on an overly long Zoom conference call… my mind was wandering, thinking about ways I could create something a little different to a usual wedding image, that would surprise (in a good way) and wow the newlyweds with something special.
I wondered if I could make a painting out of some of my wedding portraits, to give them a timeless, naturalistic quality… so I got to work and came up with this effect.
Excited by the results, I decided to take the process further and apply the technique to my landscape pictures.
I posted the newly edited effects on my @leewaymont Instagram page… I was blown away by the number of positive comments I received.
Duly encouraged by the support, I was inspired to set up this little site to showcase what I’ve been up to… starting with pictures of my local area, London, and my favourite set of islands (the Balearics)…
